AFC sets 2022 general secretaries conference for Saudi Arabia in January

December 22 – The Asian Football Confederation has convened its General Secretaries’ Conference 2022 for January 13-15 in Saudi Arabia.

The conference is a key capacity building exercise for the AFC and its member associations as they seek to boost standards across the region.

The conference will take place at the same time the Saudis host the Spanish Super Cup.

AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, said: “Our General Secretaries are key members of the Asian football ecosystem, and this Conference exemplifies yet again the AFC’s commitment, as outlined in its Vision and Mission, to strengthen the development of our Members and Regional Associations.

“It provides the most conducive setting for engendering meaningful dialogue, facilitating knowledge exchange, and championing the best practices, all of which ultimately lead to stronger MAs and RAs and a more dynamic Asian football family,” he continued.

“As we have seen throughout this pandemic, the solidarity and unity of the AFC and its MAs and RAs have never been stronger, so it is imperative that we continue to build on our solid foundations to deliver common outcomes and goals as we seek to collectively create a brighter and better future for the Asian game.”
