Women’s Champion League El Clásico set to break attendance records

January 20 – A women’s Champions League match looks set to break the world record for the most spectators and could set the record for the record for the most attended match in Europe this season.

The women’s El Clásico on 30 March between Barcelona and Real Madrid is on-course to see more than 85,000 spectators at the Camp Nou.

The game is the first leg of the quarter finals of this season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League which will also be broadcast live on DAZN’s Women’s Champions League You Tube channel.

It is the first time the Barcelona stadium has hosted an official women’s football match say the organisers.

There is a strong chance that the attendance will top the 86,422 fans who were in the Nou Camp for men’s La Liga fixture in October, currently the largest attendance so far this season in Europe.
