November 14 – FIFA has fined both England and Poland for the crowd trouble that occurred at their decisive World Cup qualifying match at Wembley last month.
FIFA says it fined the Polish association SFr30,000 ($32,760) for “incidents of crowd disturbance” at the October 15 match.
Polish fans lit numerous flares inside the stadium, and one supporters ran on to the pitch before being apprehended by stewards.
But the English have also been hit with a token fine of SFr10,000 ($10,920) for allowing the incidents to happen.
FIFA rules hold host nations responsible for security inside stadiums.
