Cole hammers his own club on twitter after training game massacre

November 19 – West Ham forward Carlton Cole has become involved in an unusual twitter rant… against his own club!

Cole, an experienced pro was left reeling after the club posted a video of a behind closed doors friendly against League One side Gillingham where the Hammers came out on top with an emphatic 9-0 victory on November 13.

Cole was one of several fringe first team players used by the east-London club, against a very youthful Gillingham outfit in a game that was clearly played to give youth some experience whilst getting fringe players from West Ham some game-time.

Obviously winning 9-0 against kids isn’t something to shout about, and Cole was angered by the West Ham media team posting highlights and making a deal about the win on social media.

He wrote in a reply to the West Ham tweet publicising the video of the game: “why oh why would you want to humiliate them poor young boys like that? It was a poor game behind closed doors
