December 4 – With Christmas fast approaching, sponsors are looking to activate their partnerships for the buying season. Rotary and EA Sports have both come out with new promotions, while footwear manufacturer Puma has launched a limited edition boot with BMW.
Rotary, the famous Swiss, family owned, watch brand, has signed an exclusive 4 year sponsorship deal as the ”Global Official Timekeeper” of Chelsea FC.
To mark the sponsorship, Rotary has developed two Swiss made ‘Special Edition’ individually numbered, quartz, chronograph watches. The Chelsea FC blue lion crest features and is integrated into a 12hr chronograph, blue outer millisecond track markers, off-set second and date window at 6. The watches retail at £395.
200 miles north in Liverpool, fans will get the chance to put their FIFA 14 skills to the test in the Official EA SPORTS Dugout ahead of the Liverpool v West Ham match.
Official partner of Liverpool FC, EA SPORTS, is tsaking its mobile gaming suite to the Family Park at Anfield and want fans to sign up to the FIFA 14 tournament.
EA SPORTS staff will be on hand to answer any questions and show fans the games’ new features. The overall winner will win a copy of the new FIFA 14 game and competitors will have the chance of getting their hands on the official Liverpool FIFA 14 cover, featuring Steven Gerrard, Daniel Sturridge and Phillipe Coutinho.
Meanwhile Puma, the official supplier of team and racewear to BMW Motorsport, has launched the evoSPEED 1.2 BMW M football boot.
Only 535 pairs of this limited edition boot are available globally – the number chosen because the first M5 was hand-built around the 535i chassis in 1979.
This special edition boot is produced in the BMW M red colour with additional modifications including metallic silver features on the heel and tongue, the classic BMW M badge on the outside of each boot and the BMW propeller branding on the heel of each boot.
So, plenty on offer for Christmas shoppers to fill their boots, or stockings. Though obviously club managers will have to wait for the January sales before they can pick up bargains when the transfer window opens.
