July 12 – Surat Kargo, one of Turkey’s leading logistic companies, has become the main sponsor of the Turkey’s Women’s national teams.
The sponsorship deal, signed on Tuesday, is for two years. No value was given for the deal.
Emphasisng the importance of sponsor partners for federations to achieve permanent and sustainable success in football, Turkish Football Federation president Mehmet Büyükekşi said: “Our sponsors give us financial and moral support. We want to make them proud with our achievements and add value to their brands.
“We have increased our contracts with 11 of our sponsors. We have signed new sponsorship agreements. Because we have endeavored to establish relations with our sponsors that require effort and initiative. We will continue to do so.”
Büyükekşi highligheted that there are 11 million girls between the ages of 5-19 in Turkey
“We have implemented the UEFA Playmakers program within the scope of UEFA’s women’s football strategy. We were very happy to see how fast they learned about football and how enthusiastic they were. And it showed that we need to focus more on this field,” Büyükekşi.
“We will share our strategy plan with the public at the big football workshop that we will hold at the end of the year with all our stakeholders. Our road map will also be included and we will be a close follower of these goals.We will spend a lot of energy to increase the popularity of women’s football in Turkey.”
