July 13 – Greek champions AEK Athens have renewed their sponsorship with energy company Volton Hellenic Energy.
Volton will be one of the club’s main sponsors of the club for the third consecutive season with the new cooperation which is for the upcoming season only.
As part of the deal Volton will continue to fully cover the football club’s electricity needs at the club’s new stadium. OPAP Arena’s electricity will be provided by natural gas and 100% renewable energy sources.
“For the third year in a row, we are happy to continue to support the historic team of AEK, a team that has provided great excitement throughout its years in sports and Greek football. We are sure that in the next season AEK will not only conquer but surpass its goals, making us proud of each of its successes and bringing smiles to its fans,” said Dionysis Tsitos, the managing director of Volton Hellenic Energy S.A.
AEK commercial director Nikos Karaouzas, added: “We are extending for the third consecutive season our multi-level partnership with Volton, a sponsorship relationship that has already been linked to important milestones in our history such as the opening of our new stadium and the recent double (title and cup) in Greece.”
AEK said that all the fans who purchased season tickets will have access to the Volton AEK Power electricity scheme with which they will qualify for various discounts.
