Arsenal lands another four years of Emirates shirt sponsorship at £50m per season

August 3 – Arsenal have renewed their shirt sponsorship with Emirates in a deal that will take the partnership through to at least 2028.

The Emirates sponsorship of Arsenal began in July 2006 and is the longest in Premier League history. The current deal finishes in 2024 with the new 4-year extension kicking in then at an estimated £50 million per season.

The is a 25% increase on the previous deal which was reportedly £40 million a year.

The Emirates logo will continue on the front of the club’s men’s, women’s and academy team shirts as well as on training kits, as per the current deal.

The UAE flag carrier also has naming rights to the club’s stadium until 2028 as part of an extension signed in 2012. The ground has been known as the Emirates Stadium since 2006 when the club moved from its old Highbury Stadium.

Juliet Slot, Arsenal’s chief commercial officer, said: “The longevity of our special relationship is a sign of our enduring shared values, our ambition to bring our global communities together, and our commitment to building on the numerous achievements that have marked our 17-year journey to date. As we take our partnership to a minimum of 22 years together, we’re excited to move forward and we’re focused on celebrating more incredible moments with our supporters around the world.”

The agreement was announced ahead of Arsenal’s Emirates Cup clash against AS Monaco which saw the score level at 1-1 at full time before Arsenal won 5-4 on penalties. This was the club’s last warm-up game ahead of the official season start that will see them play Manchester City in the FA Community Shield at Wembley on Sunday.

Sir Tim Clark, president Emirates Airline, said: “I’m proud of the journey that Emirates and Arsenal have shared over the past 17 years. Together, we’ve celebrated triumphs and stood strong against challenges. Our partnership has been built on a shared vision of excellence and a dedication to enriching the experiences of fans around the world… We look forward to creating even more magical moments with Arsenal; and together, unite, inspire, and make a meaningful impact on communities around the world through the beautiful game.”
