August 10 – AS Monaco have announced a three-year regional partnership with online bookmaker 6686 sport for Asia.
The betting firm is the also a sponsor of Lazio in Serie A and Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. In England’s Premier League it is the sleeve sponsor of Wolverhampton Wanderers. In Asia 6686 is known as the ‘angel number’ and considered to be lucky.
No value has been given for the Monaco deal.
The 6686 branding will feature on LED boards around the Louis II Stadium during home games, but this will only be visible via broadcast in Asia.
Monaco is the second-most followed Ligue 1 club in Asia behind French champions PSG, who have only grown their support after a successful pre-season tour in Japan met its conclusion last week. The Monagasques have three million followers in China alone.

The deal sees 6866 join Danish audio brand Bang and Olufsen in a busy month so far for Monaco’s sponsorship team.
