September 12 – The latest EAFC24 rating leaks have revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is set for his lowest rating since 2007 after his transfer to Al-Nassr in January.
EAFC ratings are decided by the game’s developers, EA Sports, based on each player’s performance over the past year of football action. That being said, the developers are usually reluctant to offer large upgrades or downgrades.
The Portuguese striker’s rating is set to drop from his FIFA23 score of 90, which he earned after a fruitful first year back at Manchester United, to 86 for the upcoming blockbuster game.
Messi, meanwhile, remains amongst the top players in the game despite suffering a rating downgrade. His rating has been confirmed at 90, which puts him on par with Robert Lewandowski, Harry Kane, Karim Benzema and Thibaut Courtois, and one rating below Man City duo Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland and former teammate Kylian Mbappe.
Also in the top 20 players are Virgil Van Dijk, Mohammed Salah, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Neymar, Casemiro, Ruben Dias and Rodri who share an 89-rating.
It has been over a decade since Messi was rated 90 or below, a run stretching back to FIFA 11, but regardless, he remains one of the best cards to pull in the game.
He also shares a rating with Ultimate Team new additions Sam Kerr, Aitana Bonmati and Caroline Graham Hansen, whilst sitting one rating behind World Cup winner Alexia Putellas at 91.
The news breaks as EAFC announce the official ratings for female stars, who will make their debut in the upcoming game’s most popular mode, ‘Ultimate Team’, where players can buy and sell their favourite players to build their dream team.
Previously, ‘Ultimate Team’ has exclusively featured male players and managers, but this year’s edition allows players to mix both genders together in a team for the first time in gaming history.
EAFC 24 is on track for release on September 27, with more player ratings set to be confirmed between now and its much-anticipated release. The game will be available on PlayStation, Xbox and Steam.
