April 15 – The Romanian Football Federation (FRF) has signed a contract with Russia-based InStat Football for the provision of analytical tools for technical and tactical evaluations of footballers’ performance.

“If we want to have modern football [in Romania] … we need to have access to these new technologies,” Razvan Burleanu, the head of the FRF, said at the signing of the contract.

The software will be used to analyse the performance of the Romanian national squad, as well as its junior, women and futsal teams, the statement said.

The value of the latest deal was not disclosed by the Romanian association.

“In addition to the statistical analysis reports for national squads, the FRF will have access to our scouting software and also to monitoring of promising internationals,” said Vyacheslav Pintilei, InStat’s representative in the Romanian market.

InStat Football’s product portfolio includes analytical reports for managers, scouting software and also solutions for club’s official websites.

Currently, more than 300 football clubs worldwide use the solutions. InStat Football already has a foothold in Romania where several football clubs have signed contracts with the company, including Oțelul, Astra, Pandurii and FC Botoșani.

Set up in 2007, the firm is based in Russia’s capital Moscow.
