October 26 – Treble winners Manchester City have renewed their long-term global partnership with Unilever brand, Rexona.
The new multi-year agreement will see Rexona, also known as Sure, Degree and Shield across global markets, continue to partner up with both the men’s and women’s teams.
Originally striking a deal with Manchester City men’s team in 2018, the deodorant brand expanded their initial agreement in 2020 to also sponsor Manchester City Women.
The renewal will see Rexona benefit from in-stadium branding across men’s and women’s facilities. As part of the agreement, Rexona will collaborate with the Citizens to give fans opportunities to win money-can’t-buy experiences.
Manchester City and Unilever have engaged in various collaborative efforts, such as the integration of Rexona’s Breaking Limits Programme which aims to empower young individuals and grant them the confidence and opportunities to freely express themselves by eliminating movement insecurities.
Esteve Calzada, Chief Commercial Officer at City Football Group, said: “Unilever has a long-standing association with football and since becoming a club partner in 2018, has seamlessly integrated with our club, expanding with our women’s team and community programmes over the last few years and we look forward to continuing our successful relationship moving forward.”
