November 3 – Rangers have renewed their partnership with Douglas Laing that will see the Scotch Whiskey distiller, blender and bottler remain the 55-time Scottish champions’ official Spirits partner until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The two organisations have been partnered up since the start of the 2021/22 campaign and have created a host of commemorative products including bottles to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III and grand opening of Edmiston House earlier this year.
The whiskey distillers reportedly have a roster of new products ready to be rolled out thanks to the partnership’s renewal for the seasons to come.
Rangers Chief Commercial Officer, Karim Virani, said: “Rangers are thrilled to be renewing our Official Spirits Partnership with the local, family-owned Douglas Laing and Co.
“Douglas Laing’s passion for Whisky and Spirits was proudly manifested in the 150th-anniversary collection, and the partnership has continued to grow from strength to strength since 2021.
“The new 2023/24 season spirit range is also one not to be missed.”
Alongside the commemorative products, Douglas Laing will launch the new 2023/24 season spirit range, which includes the Official Rangers Whisky, Vodka, Gin and Rum.
Douglas Laing Director of Whisky, Cara Laing, added: “We’re seriously committed to delivering the utmost quality in everything we do, so we view this partnership with a club of Rangers’ stature and history of success as the embodiment of the perfect blend, where a passion for football meets the art of Whisky-making.”
Second-place Rangers will be hoping to gain some ground on Celtic when they travel to Hearts on Sunday afternoon, ahead of a return to Europa League action as Ibrox hosts Sparta Prague. Currently third in their group having won, drawn and lost each of the three opening games, the Wednesday night tie will be crucial in prolonging Ranger’s European dream after losing to Frankfurt in 2022’s UEL final.
