November 13 – Inter Milan have announced a new partnership with Qatar Airlines that will see the airline become the official global airline partner of the 19-time Serie A champions.
The partnership made its debut against Frosinone on Sunday evening, as the Nerazzurri beat Frosinone 2-0 thanks to a world class finish from Italian international Federico Dimarco.
During the winning display, which kept Inter at the top of the Serie A table, the San Siro was lit up in the colours of the newest member of the club’s partnership roster. The hospitality areas were also kitted out in honour of the club’s new partner, with materials and images relating to the airline brand. A cabin crew even welcomed the players to the field ahead of the 2-0 victory.
No value or length was given to the deal.
Rumours are that that Qatar could take over from Paramount Plus as the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor next season, with the current deal set to expire in June.
The club said: “FC Internazionale Milano is pleased to announce that a deal has been reached with Qatar Airways for it to become the club’s Official Global Airline Partner.”
Inter Milan continues its title push away against Juventus upon the players’ return from the international break on the November 26, in a bout that could decide who lifts the coveted league trophy at the end of the year. The two Italian giants sit comfortably top of the league table on 31 points and 29 points respectively, with AC Milan 6 points adrift of the top two.
