December 8 – Liverpool will mark the return of the philanthropic ‘Futuremakers’ programme in collaboration with lead sponsor Standard Chartered, in the third annual effort to aid disadvantaged children worldwide.
The partnership will see Liverpool Men and Women’s first team shirts feature the ‘Futuremakers’ logo during upcoming clashes against Manchester United and Bristol City respectively.
The limited-edition jerseys will be autographed by the players post-match and auctioned from December 11 to December 23.
All proceeds from the auction will directly benefit ‘Futuremakers by Standard Chartered’, the bank’s global initiative targeting economic inequality.
The programme, which since launch in 2019 has featured high-profile Premier League clashes at Anfield, aims to empower disadvantaged youth worldwide by imparting skills to bolster employability or foster entrepreneurial opportunities.
The auction will be staggered with the release of Women’s shirts on December 11 and Men’s on December 18.
The last ‘Futuremakers’ logo on the front of a Liverpool shirt saw a narrow 1-0 victory versus Manchester City courtesy of a Mohamed Salah goal in October 2022.
