January 10 – International tradeshow Soccerex has added a new date and city to its calendar with the announcement of an event in March 2024 in Rio de Janeiro.
The Brazilian club game is currently undergoing a structural rethink and a series of club ownership changes have attracted new investment and sponsorship income into the market that is now estimated at a value of more than $2 billion annually.
Alongside the Brazilian FA’s bid for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, the football business in Brazil is experiencing rapid change and providing new grow opportunities.
The Soccerex event will be held at the Maria D’Gloria venue just a short distance from Copacabana beach, March 25-26.
The event will follow the Soccerex format of conference stages and exhibition stands with more than 70 speakers lined up over the two days to cover topics including topics performance, broadcasting, good governance, fan engagement, athlete development, technology, analytics, and major event organisation.
More than 2,000 attendees are expected.
