PruHealth Vitality

June 18 – Three leading Premier League clubs have signed new season sponsorship deals with leading health insurance provider PruHealth and PruProtect to promote their healthy lifestyle insurance and rewards product Vitality.

Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have all agreed three-year partnerships with the health and lifestyle insurer to become the official health, wellness and lifestyle partner of the club.

Each of the club deals is broadly similar with the sponsor aiming to communicate directly with the clubs’ fan bases through a series of initiatives. The sponsorship is focused around the men’s and women’s teams at each club,

At Women’s Super League champions Liverpool Ladies, the company logo will feature on the back of the club shirt.

The partnerships will primarily be used to promote the benefits of PruHealth and PruProtect’s Vitality programme. Vitality is the healthy living rewards programme, which encourages and rewards its members for living a healthy lifestyle.

At Manchester Ciy Vitality members will have a chance to win money can’t buy experiences, providing exclusive access to club players and experiences. PruHealth and PruProtect branding will be prominent in new player medical examinations during the summer and January transfer windows. There is also a package of sponsor branding and promotion included in the deal.

At Arsenal the sponsor will have access to brand and player imagery, access to players and management, in-stadium branding and use of Arsenal’s digital and social media platforms. The club will also provide coaches and legends to attend soccer clinics held in the UK and overseas.

The value of the deal to the clubs has not been disclosed but it is believed to be based on a mixture of cash and reward based on fan sign-ups.

Neville Koopowitz, CEO of PruHealth and Vitality, said: “We believe in the power of sport to help inspire people to live a healthy life, which is why we partner with leading sports figures, teams and events to help us spread the Vitality message.

“Our collaboration with some of the top teams in the country, is the latest move in our goal of changing the game when it comes to people’s health.”

Vitality makes it cheaper and easier for its members to get healthy and gives them rewards to keep them motivated, through a range of discounts and incentives.” This could mean the end of a pie and a pint for some supporters at matches
