June 18 – Three leading Premier League clubs have signed new season sponsorship deals with leading health insurance provider PruHealth and PruProtect to promote their healthy lifestyle insurance and rewards product Vitality.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City have all agreed three-year partnerships with the health and lifestyle insurer to become the official health, wellness and lifestyle partner of the club.
Each of the club deals is broadly similar with the sponsor aiming to communicate directly with the clubs’ fan bases through a series of initiatives. The sponsorship is focused around the men’s and women’s teams at each club,
At Women’s Super League champions Liverpool Ladies, the company logo will feature on the back of the club shirt.
The partnerships will primarily be used to promote the benefits of PruHealth and PruProtect’s Vitality programme. Vitality is the healthy living rewards programme, which encourages and rewards its members for living a healthy lifestyle.
At Manchester Ciy Vitality members will have a chance to win money can’t buy experiences, providing exclusive access to club players and experiences. PruHealth and PruProtect branding will be prominent in new player medical examinations during the summer and January transfer windows. There is also a package of sponsor branding and promotion included in the deal.
At Arsenal the sponsor will have access to brand and player imagery, access to players and management, in-stadium branding and use of Arsenal’s digital and social media platforms. The club will also provide coaches and legends to attend soccer clinics held in the UK and overseas.
The value of the deal to the clubs has not been disclosed but it is believed to be based on a mixture of cash and reward based on fan sign-ups.

Vitality is a healthy living rewards programme that “helps people understand how they can improve their own personal health. Vitality makes it cheaper and easier for its members to get healthy and gives them rewards to keep them motivated, through a range of discounts and incentives.” This could mean the end of a pie and a pint for some supporters at matches
Man City team sign Indonesian life insurance firm Jiwasraya
Manchester City have announced a new two-year club partnership with Jiwasraya.
The state-owned company, which specialises in life insurance and financial planning will become City’s Official Insurance Partner in Indonesia.
Jiwasraya will have the rights to produce TV ads with City’s stars, as well as use club branding and player imagery in marketing campaigns throughout Indonesia. Jiwasraya will also be able to offer a series of money-can’t-buy experiences to customers.
Tom Glick, Chief Business Officer for Manchester City, said: “The launch of our Indonesian website, twitter and Facebook pages has resulted in our Indonesian fans now accounting for our biggest social media following outside of the UK.”
Hendrisman Rahim, President of Jiwasraya, said of the partnership: “It can help us to win potential consumers’ minds, because football will always be the biggest passion of Indonesian society.”
