February 22 – The Swiss Football League has announced a strategic partnership with the French sports consultancy agency LaSource to develop the league’s Digital Vision 2027 project – a five-year strategy aiming to use technology t o innovate across the league’s operations and fan engagement.
In the past 18 months, the league has undertaken several digital initiatives but is now accelerating the Digital Vision 2027 initiative.
Commenting on the partnership, Frank Schaffner, Chief Digital Officer at the Swiss League, said: “We believe that the Swiss Football League has the potential to be the most attractive and innovative sports competition in Switzerland.
“We will push this forward together with all stakeholders and partners. LaSource is the right partner to support us in developing a digital strategy that will further drive growth and innovation in our league.”
The Digital Vision 2027 initiative was unveiled last year, forging partnerships with various entities to elevate its digital footprint. A deal was done with sports media assets hosting platform ScorePlay, who were designated as the league’s digital asset manager until 2025.
Amongst its growing partnership roster were Origins Digital, who were responsible for the development of a cutting-edge website and match platform for the league.
