March 12 – Performance intelligence company Kitman Labs has expanded its football partnership portfolio, adding Czech league leaders Sparta Prague as the latest team to turn to their data services.
The Europa League side have joined Premier League Fulham amongst Kitman Labs’ 2024 partnership pickups.
Thanks to the partnership, whose value remains undisclosed, the club will use Kitman’s iP: Intelligence Platform, which
brings together data on medical, performance, coaching, and talent development into one system.
An American company, Kitman Labs’ technology has been used by teams in the NFL, NBA, MLS and NCAA, and is now transitioning across the Atlantic.
“We are thrilled to be entering the Czech market with Sparta Prague – a club driven by innovation, a mission to elevate performance and a team at the top of the ladder in the Czech First League,” said Stephen Smith, CEO and founder of Kitman Labs.
“The Intelligence Platform has been designed to convert data into actionable insights. Data alone has limited value. The return on investment comes from the ability to leverage that data to help inform strategic and tactical decision-making and this is a team that clearly understands that value.”
“As a high performing Club with the vision and clear intention of having the deepest possible knowledge about our athletes’ data, our challenge is ensuring the right data is being collected, integrated and shared across all relevant stakeholders and that the analytics capabilities are in place to convert that information into practical, useful insights that help achieve our performance goals,” said Christian Clarup, SC Sparta Praha, Head of Performance.
Sparta Praha travel to Anfield on Thursday in a bid to overturn the five-goal thumping they received in Prague last week.
