July 10 – Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad have signed a new kit deal with Italian sports apparel firm Macron replacing German giants Adidas as main technical sponsor. The sponsorship is for three years and starts from the 2014/2015 season.

No financial details of the deal between Macron and the Ludogorets have been released.

Macron is also official supplier for clubs like Napoli, Lazio, Aston Villa, Leeds, Millwall, AC Monaco, Boavista, AZ Alkmaar and had been building its profile across Europe.

A company statement said: “Once again Macron, the European leader in active sportswear market, wanted to link its name with the history, by signing this important partnership with one of the most famous football club in Bulgaria.”

The deal is Macron’s first move into the Bulgarian market.

“The new agreement with PFC Ludogorets, who achieved this year a remarkable result by winning both the domestic league and the Bulgarian Cup (its second consecutive ‘Double’), will supply all the equipment from match uniforms to training and leisure kits,” said the company.

“Macron style dept. is already at work in close contact with the front office of Bulgarian club, to succeed in creating a unique and custom made kit, always considering the fashion aspect but without forgetting the long lasting history of the club.”
