July 16 – Korona Kielce has unveiled its new squad shirt for the 2014/2015 season, following the signing of a new technical sponsorship contract with Hummel. The German brand will replace German rival Adidas.

For the new season, the Kielce-based club will be the only side from the country’s top tier Ekstraklasa to have its kits supplied by Hummel. The amount of the latest deal was not disclosed.

Following their official launch, Korona said that the new shirts will be introduced to the club’s fan store with a price tag of PLN 149 (€36).

The latest deal will decrease the portfolio of Adidas in Poland which, in the 2013/2014 season, supplied its gear to seven Ekstraklasa clubs. In addition to the Kielce-based side, these included this year’s champion of Poland Legia Warsaw, Ruch Chorzow, Piast Gliwice, Lechia Gdansk, Gornik Zabrze and Wisla Krakow. However, in the 2014/2015 season, the German brand will no longer supply kits to Lechia Gdansk.

Rival US brand Nike inked a deal to become the technical sponsor of Lech Poznan in June. The signing leaves Puma, which provided its kits to Slask Wroclaw and Lech in the 2013/2014 season, with no technical sponsorship deal in the Ekstraklasa for the coming season.
