May 10 – Concacaf has set the 2024 dates for its two regional cup competitions, the Caribbean Cup and the Central America Cup.
Both competitions are entering their second editions with the Caribbean Cup qualifying three clubs to the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, and the Central America Cup qualifying six. The draw for both competitions will be held June 6.
The 20-team Central America Cup will be played June to December 2024, starting with four groups of five clubs each. Clubs will play every club in their group once, with the top two finishers in each group going through into the knockout rounds.
So far, 14 clubs have qualified for the group stage, including current champions Alajuelense from Costa Rica:
Costa Rica (3): CS Herediano, Deportivo Saprissa, and LD Alajuelense
El Salvador (2): CD Aguila and CD Luis Angel Firpo
Guatemala (2): CSD Municipal and Comunicaciones FC
Honduras (2): CD Olimpia and CD Marathon
Nicaragua (3): Diriangen FC, Managua FC and Real Esteli FC
Panama (2): CA Independiente and Tauro FC
The six clubs (one from Belize, one from Costa Rica, one from El Salvador, one from Guatemala, one from Honduras, and one from Panama) will be confirmed by June 2.
The 10-team Caribbean Cup will be played between August and December 2024.
Clubs will be divided into two groups of five with the top two in each group qualifying for the semi-finals.
Thus far, two clubs have secured a berth. These clubs are:
To date only Cibao FC and Moca FC from the Dominican Republic have secured places in the draw. Current champions Robinhood, from Suriname, won the inaugural competition having qualified after winning the CFU Club Shield. The 2024 edition will be played July 25 to August 4, though a venue has still to be announced.
The eight remaining clubs will qualify as follows:

Haiti (2): 2024 League Haïtienne Play-Offs Group winners
Jamaica (2): 2023/24 Premier League Champion and Runner-up
Trinidad and Tobago (2): 2023/24 TT Premier Football League Champion and Runner-up
