May 22 – Infront has agreed a five-year representation deal with LFP Media for international broadcast rights to France’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 across Europe, Asia, and Oceania.
Starting with the 2024/25 to 2028/29, the agreement includes all matches from Ligue 1 Uber Eats and Ligue 2 BKT, promotion/relegation play-offs and the annual Trophée des Champions.
There are 306 Ligue 1 Uber Eats matches per season, played across 34 rounds, and 306 Ligue 2 BKT matches.
LFP Media will produce the matches and provide the international broadcast feed, as well as create added content and magazine shows.
The media distribution deal follows on from a five-year partnership agreed in September 2023 that sees Infront handle the French league’s betting rights.
Amikam Kranz, Senior Vice President of Media, Betting & Technology, Infront said: “These new deals are the latest step in our developing partnership with LFP Media and allows them to fully leverage Infront’s expertise across media and technology. Our comprehensive network and offering aims to enhance the league’s international presence and fan engagement, showcasing the synergy between our technology capabilities and commercial rights experience.”
The new agreement also covers Infront Lab, Infront’s technology and innovation arm, which will focus on enhancing media capabilities and enriching fan engagement experiences, including incorporation of its recently launched Engines 365 suite.
Martin Aurenche, LFP Media Chief Media Officer said: “Aligning and increasing our cooperation with Infront allows us to amplify the global footprint of French football, bringing the excitement and passion of French football to new audiences. Their approach will no doubt elevate our international presence as well as the viewing experience, reinforcing the league’s standing in the international sports landscape.”
