August 12 – Betting operator 666Bet have added to its Premier League portfolio becoming a platinum partner of newly promoted Leicester City. 666Bet is already the betting partner at West Bromwich Albion and most recently added  Leyton Orient, becoming shirt sponsor at the League One club.

The one-season deal at Leicester will see 666Bet become the Foxes’ Official Betting Partner and exclusive European Betting Partner for the 2014/15 season.

666Bet is one of the newest betting operators in the UK, having launched in June this year ahead of this summer’s World Cup in Brazil. It’s opening gambit was to offer odds of 1966/1 for England to win the World Cup.

At Leicester 666Bet will receive a package of advertising and branding presence at the King Power Stadium and online, plus various promotional and hospitality opportunities.

Ian Flanagan, commercial director for Leicester City, said: “Our partnership with 666Bet brings together a new player in the online betting market with a new player in the Barclays Premier League, which we envisage will create a host of exciting opportunities for both parties.

Barry Martin, CEO of 666Bet, similarly emphasised the ‘newness’ of both parties. “It’s a very exciting time to be getting involved with Leicester City after their promotion to the Premier League and we’re delighted to have signed this partnership. 666Bet is a young, hungry and ambitious new betting company and we see a number of parallels with ourselves and the Foxes,” said Martin.
