Black Sea resort town picks Botev Plovdiv’s euro journey to widen its appeal

July 30 – Botev Plovdiv has concluded a partnership agreement with the Municipality of Primorsko. The popular Black Sea resort and the second largest city in Bulgaria, becomes the official tourist partner of the club.

“Thanks to the agreement, all supporters of the ‘yellow and black’ who visit Primorsko will be able not only to get to know the beauties of the unique coastal city even better but also to get involved in a number of games and campaigns aimed at their favorite club ,” said the club.

“Attracting Primorsko as an official tourism partner is another step for Botev in its quest to operate on a European model. It was important for our club to partner with a local resort that can provide a unique experience for every Botev Plovdiv fan.

“Every big club in the world has an official tourism partner and we are proud to be the first Bulgarian football club to have such a partner. The partnership with Primorsko has the potential to expand the scope of the ‘Botev’ brand at the national level and to help business cooperation with our other business partners. Historically, Primorsko is a preferred summer destination for people from Plovdiv, therefore we plan to use all the marketing potential at our disposal to move an additional tourist flow in this direction,” said Alexey Kirichek, executive director of Botev.

Primorsko mayor Ivan Gaykov said that with Botev Plovdiv’s participation in European club tournaments, the aim is to attract more foreign tourists.

“Plovdiv is a targeted area for our tourism plans. The opportunity to partner with one of the symbols of the city, such as Botev, opens up a great opportunity for us to demonstrate to their numerous fans the unique conditions for rest that Primorsko provides. The campaigns we have planned aim to promote the new image of Primorsko that we have built, as well as to inform the public that it is not a destination only for sea tourism, but can be visited all year round, because of the unique nature and historical sites. with which we have,” said Gaykov.

“Botev’s good performance in European club tournaments is a prerequisite for our advertising to reach foreign tourists as well, which is an additional added value for our resort. We are enthusiastic in the first year of the partnership to lay some stable foundations on which to build and to show that in Bulgaria tourism and sports can help each other,” he added.
