Monaco plug in Renault on front of shirt for centenary and UCL campaign

August 7 – Champions League-bound AS Monaco have announced Renault as the club’s major sponsor partner, with the side set to don the Renault logo for all of their upcoming UEFA Champions League and Ligue1 matches this season.

The Renault 5 E Tech electric logo will be displayed on the front of the AS Monaco team jersey but not in the main front-of-shirt position but occupying the ‘pocket’ section.

No value or length was given for the deal, which begins with the 2024/25 season.

Monaco finished second in Ligue1 last term to reach the Champions League for the first time since 2018.

Laurent Aliphat, VP Renault Marketing Brand Content, said: “We are very proud to be partnering AS Monaco football club this season. We share strong ties, based on our history and our values. Founded over one hundred years ago, we are both entities with national and international reach. And we are both seeking to implement strategies with a focus on clean mobility.

“This partnership comes at a time that promises to be exciting and meaningful for both of us, with the launch of Renault 5 E-Tech electric, an iconic car inspiring real passion, and the centenary celebrations of AS Monaco.”

More than 20 Renault vehicles will be made available to the club while Renault will carry out a number of activations aimed at Monaco fans nationally and in the principality.

Thibaut Chatelard, Marketing & Revenue Director of AS Monaco, said: “As the Club returns to the Champions League next season, marked by the Centenary of our institution, we are delighted to be able to count on Renault’s support for our European campaign and throughout the exciting Ligue 1 season.

“This new partnership with a world-class group like Renault and their iconic and responsible Renault 5 E-Tech electric is further proof of AS Monaco’s appeal. We look forward to working together and helping each other achieve our goals.”
