Linebet targets African gamblers with AS Monaco deal

August 19 – Linebet has become a regional betting partner of AS Monaco, covering Sub-Saharan Africa and the Mena region, the club confirmed.

In a brief statement, the Ligue 1 club said: “Linebet and AS Monaco aim to strengthen their visibility in Sub-Saharan Africa and MENA and bring their respective communities closer together, in order to pursue their development in these two regions. Linebet will also reserve a dedicated betting offer for Monegasque fans present in these areas.”

The terms of the one-season deal were not disclosed.

On its website, Linebet states that it is owned and operated by ASPRO NV, a license holder in Curacao, the Caribbean island that serves as a hub for unregulated online gambling because of its low taxes, straightforward access to the banking system, lenient regulation of online gambling platforms, and the presence of opaque corporate structures.

Linebet claims that it has 400,000 users. On Monday morning, the website offered a wide range of in-play bets, ranging from the Bhutan Super League to the Women’s Cosafa Cup.

It’s the second commercial deal for the Monegasque club in a matter of days following a partnership with Renault.
