Betway adds Chelsea to its Premier League portfolio

September 5 – Chelsea have unveiled a new partnership with Betway, making the Super Group-owned brand the Premier League club’s long-term Official European Betting Partner.

The deal will allow for the online betting and gaming company’s branding to feature on the LED advertising boards surrounding the pitch at Stamford Bridge during all domestic matches.

Betway will also collaborate on creating engaging content and exclusive experiences for fans, such as meeting players and chances to play on the pitch.

The brand will work with Chelsea to provide training and initiatives surrounding safer gambling.

Betway already has an established presence in the football sponsorship market, having current deals running with Premier League sides West Ham, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Brighton, alongside European clubs such as Atletico Madrid and Bologna.

The value and exact length of the sponsorship remains undisclosed.

Casper Stylsvig, chief revenue officer at Chelsea Football Club, said: “This partnership will offer our supporters incredible opportunities to connect with the club, from interacting with current and legendary players to enjoying VIP hospitality and behind-the-scenes access. We look forward to a successful and dynamic collaboration with Betway over the coming years.”

Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, stated: “We are incredibly proud to partner with the two-time UEFA Champions League winners and the five-time Premier League champions. An amazing achievement. Chelsea is a truly global club with a hugely successful history. This partnership is a super opportunity for Betway to expand its brand and to reward our loyal customers and engage with football fans in new and thrilling ways. We are super excited to work alongside this club.”

Chelsea have opened the season with a mixed bag of results; a home defeat to Manchester City and a frustrating draw to Crystal Palace sandwiching a sensational 2-6 away victory over wolves in match week two.

They return to Premier League action against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on September 14, which will mark the debut of Betway on the pitchside advertisement boards.
