Bursaspor agree Atış Group shirt sponsorship as they ‘light the torch of resurrection’

September 10 – Bursaspor, one of Turkey’s biggest clubs which currently is playing in the fourth tier in Turkey, has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Atış Group.

The contract is for one year but no value for the deal was given.

Atış Group is a real estate investment business rooted in Bursa, the club’s home town. In 2024, the company has made new investments in real estate, shopping-retail, entertainment, tourism, finance, and technology sectors.

“Our Club, the deep-rooted plane tree of Turkish football, is joining forces with Atış Grup, which stands out with its projects that add value to the city. Our club and Atış Grup signed a shirt sponsorship agreement for the 2024-2025 season,” reads a Bursaspor statement.

Atış will have the front logo position on first team shirts as well as youth teams. The company has a record of supporting social responsibility projects as well as sports projects.

“In this process where we are going through a difficult economic period for our country, Atış Group’s undertaking the shirt sponsorship, as well as Mr. Ahmet Atış’s great support to our ‘I’m With You”’ campaign, is very meaningful in this period when we are lighting the torch of resurrection! I hope that this agreement will be beneficial and fruitful for both Bursaspor and the valuable Atış Group family and will continue for many years”, said Enes Çelik, the president of Bursaspor.

Atış Group Board Member Metin Atış added: “As Atış Group, we were born in this city, we grew up in this city, we get our strength and inspiration from this city. Just like Bursaspor. We know that Bursaspor is a football club formed by the coming together of five amateur clubs, in other words, it is a union of forces. It is based on the concepts of solidarity and unity.

“As Atış Group, we are one of the biggest brands in this city. We strengthen our bond with this city, where we grew up, with the support we provide to every aspect of life, from sports to culture and arts, from social projects to education. We always support sports in a wide range of areas, from motorsports to Paralympic sports.”

Having won the Turkish SuperLig in the 2009/10 season – only the second club outside of Istanbul to have done so – Bursaspor had several season on European club competition before running into difficulty at the end of the decade with mounting debt.

They were relegated from the SuperLig in 2019 and three years later were relegated again. A third relegation came at the end of last season sending them to the lowest division in their club history.
