November 4 – FC Bayern Munich have partnered up with German customer data platform Zeotap as part of a deal that will include both the football and basketball divisions of the club, with the core aim of optimising the club’s fan interactions with the help of Zeotap’s Customer Data Platform (CDP).
The sponsorship element of the cooperation relates in particular to FC Bayern Basketball, but the club have said that the collaboration will also be ‘utilised’ in football.
Michael Diederich, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Management of FC Bayern München AG, said: “FC Bayern always wants to be close to and tangible for its fans, here in Bavaria and all over the world. The collaboration with Zeotap represents another milestone because we can now reach our fans in a targeted, precise and individual way.”
Marko Pesic, Managing Director of FC Bayern Basketball GmbH, added: “We are very pleased that our team is supporting this new and important collaboration. Like all of FC Bayern, we want to inspire our fans, and to do this it is important to maintain direct contact not only at our games in the arenas, but also worldwide via our digital platforms.”
Daniel Heer, CEO and founder of Zeotap, concluded: “We are proud to have won FC Bayern Munich as a partner for our CDP. Now it’s time to create value and produce excellent results.”
FC Bayern are the only unbeaten team in the Bundesliga and currently sit top of the table, three points ahead of RB Leipzig. With star striker Harry Kane returning to form, the Bavarians host Benfica on Wednesday in the Champions League before travelling to St Pauli for the club’s Bundesliga fixture on Saturday.
