November 14 – The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has changed its official health sponsor Acıbadem to Medicana Health Group in a three-year deal that will cover all national teams, including the country’s age group teams.
TFF president İbrahim Ethem Hacıosmanoğlu said that Medicana Health Group’s offer was a significant increase on Acıbadem’s.
“We would like to thank Acıbadem Health Group, which has been our health sponsor until now. Medicana Health Group has made higher contributions, both materially and spiritually, under better conditions.
“Hopefully, from now on, they will provide services to our athletes in the field of health under better conditions and with better opportunities, and we are sure that they will. Since we have a large deficit, we attach special importance to sponsors. Because you can only close the budget deficit with sponsors. We need to close the deficit that we have inherited until the next financial general assembly,” said Hacıosmanoğlu.
“Hopefully, we did it under these conditions today, but the next time you will offer better conditions, better opportunities, and we will make better agreements. Once again, in your presence, we would like to thank Medicana Health Group and Hüseyin Bey separately. This cooperation of ours will be beneficial to both parties”, he added.
Medicana Health Group Board Chairman Dr. Hüseyin Bozkurt said: “Medicana Health Group supports athletes and sports clubs in both amateur and professional branches in many parts of Turkey…
“But today is a different day. On top of all this, we are signing a very valuable sponsorship; national team health sponsorship. This is an agreement that includes the health sponsorship of both our women’s and men’s national teams, as well as the health sponsorship of all the squads in other subcategories. At the same time, the health of all TFF employees under this roof is now entrusted to Medicana. For this, I say it again, I am very, very proud. This is something else, in other words, this is more than a sponsorship, it is an operation in which we also have a hand in the work.”
