Adidas touch down with Juve and All Blacks for new collaboration

November 25 – Two teams that know a little something about winning, Italian giants, Juventus, and the all-conquering All Blacks from New Zealand, are teaming up with sportswear giant, Adidas to merge the worlds of football, rugby, and fashion.

The mighty All Blacks who once went a world record of 22 unbeaten tests are known for their dominance on the field, their pre-game signature Haka, and their black jerseys. The team embodies embody excellence, strength, and unity. With a legacy of over 100 years, they are synonymous with rugby greatness and are celebrated worldwide.

Juventus, also have their own records having won the Serie A title 36 times in their 127-year history.

With the Italians and Adidas closely associated with football the decision to team up with the All Blacks is to create the ‘All Black and White’ collection. This partnership connects Juventus’ global brand appeal with the All Blacks’ heritage, presenting a unique blend of two distinct sports cultures.

There is a growing trend of brands, sports teams, and entertainment cross-pollinating. The aims are threefold. To reach and engage with broader audiences; create unique value propositions with collaborative products that appeal to fans who appreciate both sports or those drawn to premium, limited-edition offerings; and enhance brand stories by connecting different sports’ histories, cultures, and values.

The new adidas collection will represent the shared values of both organisations, namely passion, commitment, and excellence. The items available for fans will feature a cap, sweatshirt, and T-shirt – representing a fusion of football’s elegance with rugby’s grit.

The collection launch is perfectly timed to coincide with a historic moment for Juventus and Allianz Stadium. Last Saturday Allianz Stadium hosted its first-ever non-football event: a rugby match between Italy and the All Blacks.

For Juventus fans, it’s an opportunity to embrace a new type of game on familiar turf. For rugby enthusiasts, it’s a chance to experience the All Blacks in a premier football venue.
