November 6 – The International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS), an international focussed on sport safety, security and integrity, has been named as a sponsor of the World Football Forum being held in Moscow next week.
Stadiums and Events of the Future / Security by Design Security is a panel at the forum that will be led by the ICSS and will look at the issues that need to be addressed from the start of the design of a stadium.
Helmut Spahn, Director General of ICSS and Malcolm Tarbitt, Executive Director of ICSS will lead the panel drawing on their international experience.
Formed in 2011, ICSS has worked with leading major event organisers, international and regional organisations, governments, cities, sport federations, associations and the scientific community, as well as working on several international major sport events and projects.
“ICSS and its team of international experts has recognised that when designing a venue, it is essential that the security design consultant must be involved from the very beginning of the initiation phase, right before any architect has been approached.
“And with the country hosting many major international events over the next decade, there is now a clear need for Russia to look at how it is protecting its sports venues as it prepares to open its doors to the world,” said an ICSS statement.
The World Football Forum, Moscow, takes place November 13.
