January 6 – Kings League, launched by former Spain and FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique and his Kosmos company, has secured more than 20 media partners and several major sponsors for its new Kings World Cup of Nations 7-a-side tournament.
The inaugural Kings World Cup of Nations, which began in Italy on January 1, has also locked in broadcast and platform partners across more than 60 countries.
Among the key broadcasters are Sky Sports in Italy, DAZN in Japan and Australia, ESPN and Disney+ in Latin America, CBS Golazo Network in the United States, and Caze TV in Brazil.
Additional coverage spans regions worldwide, including ANT+ (Greece and Cyprus), MBC/SSC (Middle East and North Africa), OneFootball (rest of the world, including Spain, Germany, and the UK from the quarter-finals onward), OneSport (Israel), S Sport (Turkey), SBS (South Korea), SOOP (South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines), Telemundo (USA and Puerto Rico), Varzish TV (Tajikistan), ZAP (Angola and Mozambique), Zor TV (Uzbekistan), and Kyivstar (Ukraine).
In addition to television broadcasts, the competition will deliver content through its official social media channels, including Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, and X.
Kings League sponsors, reflecting the competition’s commercial appeal. Major international brands such as McDonald’s, Red Bull, Spotify, Air Asia, Adidas, Iren, and Floki have signed on to support the tournament, further bolstering its profile.

The tournament features teams from 16 nations, including Brazil, Italy, Turkey, and Spain, and runs until January 12, with the final taking place at Allianz Stadium in Turin.
The tournament will mark the return of some familiar faces, with former stars such as Kaká, Neymar, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Sergio Agüero, Francesco Totti, Andrea Pirlo, Gianluigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero, and Iker Casillas slated to take part.
To drive its global growth, the Kings League has appointed Djamel Agaoua, formerly of the NBA, as its new CEO. The league is also planning to expand with regional competitions in Italy, Brazil, North America (including Mexico), the Middle East, and Asia.
