February 17 – Premier League Liverpool have confirmed that general admission and season ticket prices will remain unchanged for the 2025/26 season, saying that is reinforces their commitment to affordability despite growing financial pressures.
The club credits its official Supporters Board for playing a key role in the decision, following extensive discussions. Junior tickets will also remain at £9 for the tenth consecutive season—matching the local ticket price for Liverpool postcode holders, an initiative in place since 2016/17.
The move comes at a time when matchday operating costs and football’s wider financial demands continue to rise. However, Liverpool has prioritised fan engagement, conducting a survey of 500,000 supporters last October. More than 62,000 responded, identifying ticket access and the online purchasing process as their biggest concerns.
As a result, the club will enter discussions with the Supporters Board to develop ticketing policy changes for the future. These will align with Liverpool’s updated ticketing principles, which aim to balance accessibility with fan loyalty while ensuring transparency and tackling misuse.
Season ticket renewals for the 2025/26 season will open in March, with further details to be provided in due course.
Meanwhile, across enemy lines, Manchester United faced a furious backlash from their own supporter groups after raising member ticket prices to £66 per match for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
Minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe defended the increase by arguing that United tickets should not cost less than those at London clubs such as Fulham.
On the pitch, Liverpool’s hard-fought win over Wolves on Sunday extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to seven points, with a crucial midweek clash against Aston Villa looming.
