AC Milan launch junior camps in Central Europe

April 22 – AC Milan have taken another step in their international grassroots strategy with the launch of two Milan Junior Camps in Central Europe this July — in Prague (14–18 July) and Rovinka, Slovakia (21–25 July).

Delivered in partnership with Czech development specialists Moderní fotbal s.r.o., the camps target boys and girls aged 5 to 17 and will be led by official AC Milan youth coaches. Alongside technical training, the programme emphasises physical and mental well-being and reflects the club’s values-based development model.

While not the prelude to a permanent academy presence, the initiative is emblematic of Milan’s wider international strategy: short-format, club-managed programmes that offer quality control, brand alignment, and direct engagement with emerging football communities.

The collaboration with Moderní fotbal s.r.o. — a company with over a decade of experience in youth development and sports education — ensures strong local execution, while allowing Milan to maintain flexibility and limit long-term capital investment.

For the Rossoneri, the camps are more than seasonal training events. They serve as brand activations, community outreach tools, and potential scouting entry points in under-served but increasingly competitive football markets.

With no permanent academy structures planned for Prague or Rovinka at this stage, Milan continue to favour a nimble, scalable model of international expansion — one that brings the club’s identity to new audiences without compromising on coaching standards or development philosophy.

Speaking about the collaboration, Honorary AC Milan Vice President Franco Baresi said: “The launch of these new Milan Junior Camps marks a significant step in bringing AC Milan’s legacy and spirit to football fans and communities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. We are pleased to collaborate with Moderní fotbal s.r.o., a company that shares our values of innovation, passion, and determination, making them the perfect partner to help us inspire future generations in this area.”

From the Czech side, Moderní fotbal Managing Partner Lenka Hrabovská added: “This collaboration between Moderní fotbal and AC Milan is a unique opportunity to connect innovation, tradition, and passion — the core pillars of football. We believe this partnership will create exciting new experiences for our customers, fans, and the wider community across the Czech Republic and Slovakia.”
