April 23 – Borussia Dortmund have renewed their partnership with Vietnamese firm Kobler through the 2025/26 season, extending a regional agreement that has become central to the Bundesliga club’s Southeast Asia commercial strategy.
The quartz flooring brand – which became Dortmund’s first official partner in Vietnam in early 2024 — will continue to align itself with BVB’s powerful global image as the club builds fan engagement and visibility in one of Asia’s fastest-growing football markets.
The partnership extension follows a year of successful local activations, including co-branded campaigns and fan experiences timed around key Bundesliga and Champions League fixtures. Kobler has used the tie-in to enhance its B2B credentials and connect with younger Vietnamese consumers.
Carsten Cramer, managing director of Borussia Dortmund, said: “As our first commercial partner in Vietnam, one of our target markets, the cooperation with Kobler is particularly important to us. Our partnership is based on similar values that both brands strive for: Success and reliability.”
Vietnam is a strategic focus for Dortmund, with strong viewership figures and increasing Champions League awareness. The club has doubled down on Southeast Asia in recent seasons, building a portfolio of regional initiatives that includes partnerships in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand, alongside youth development and digital engagement.
Toan Vu, CMO of Kobler Vietnam, added: “We’re extremely proud to have been a part of the BVB family since last year. We look forward to using our continued partnership with BVB to deliver exciting experiences for fans in the region.”
Dortmund’s presence in UEFA competitions and qualification for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup enhances its appeal in emerging Asian football markets. However, the club are sat seventh in the Bundesliga, meaning they may miss out on European football next season for the first time in recent memory.
