February 13 – Liverpool have added to their sponsorship roster with the announcement of NIVEA MEN as the Club’s Official Men’s Grooming Partner, the club’s first sponsor in this category.
No figure was announced for the deal which was said to be a multi-year partnership.
NIVEA MEN has long been the leading men’s skin care brand in the UK and allied itself to football’s male demographic via promotion in men’s magazines and TV campaigns. This is the first sponsorship the brand had taken in the Premier League.
Liverpool’s strong Scandinavian fanbase in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway is also an important focus of the NIVEA MEN brand.
“NIVEA MEN is one of the most recognised skincare names across the globe and we are delighted the brand has chosen to partner with Liverpool FC as it enters the world’s most exciting football league,” said Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer for Liverpool FC.
“We’re thrilled to welcome our very first grooming partner to the LFC family and we look forward some exciting campaigns over the coming years,” he added.
NIVEA MEN’s first TV ad campaign trading on the new sponsorship launches today with Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson, Simon Mignolet and Raheem Sterling featuring in the commercial.
