February 20 – Manchester United are chasing down London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the Insideworldfootball Premier League Twitter rankings chart, topping the table of weekly gains in followers, but still lieing some distance behind in third place in the overall Twitter Followers table.
Man Utd this week put on a chunky 44,535 new followers to their official twitter feed, 6,000 more than second place Chelsea who just edged Arsenal.
Liverpool were fourth with over 33,000 new followers while Manchester City struggled to keep pace with their top 4 rivals, laggin behind with 13,000 new followers.

The biggest percentage gain of the week was Burnley but they still lie at the foot of the table with less than 100,000 followers- they put on 1,871 over the past week.
The main mover mid-table was Aston Villa who are gaining on West Ham, perhaps due to a more positive feeling towards the club with the change in first team manager.
When it comes to number of tweets made, Manchester United have worked harder this week, moving up to tenth in the weekly ranking but still sitting bottom in the overall number of tweets made.
Teams in the middle of the overall Twitter followers table have worked hardest, with West Ham and Spurs each tweeting 340+ times, almost twice as many as Man Utd.
Burnley were bottom of the weekly tweet table with just 49 tweets, prompting speculation that the club’s chief tweeter has taken the trip to Spain with the club’s star striker Danny Ings earlier in the week.
