March 12 – Bulgaria’s Ludogorets Razgrad is to receive another BGN 2 million (€1 million) from government to modernization the Ludogorets Arena stadium in Razgrad.
With this sum, the amount granted under the government programme ‘Growth and Sustainable Development of the Regions’ for reconstruction and modernization of the facility comes BGN 5 million (€2.5 million). The first BGN 3 million (€1.5 million) was allocated at the beginning of 2014.
Overall modernization of the stadium should be completed by the end of 2015, and its estimated value is BGN 20 million (€10 million).
The club’s owner Kiril Domuschiev promised last year that he would give BGN 16 million (€8 milion) and required the remaining BGN 4 million from the Razgrad municipality, which owns the facility.
Ludogorets Arena will have capacity of 12,000 spectators, 5,000 more than the current capacity.
