March 19 – Pakistan’s home World Cup qualifier against Yemen has been switched to neutral ground in Bahrain after it was postponed following Sunday’s deadly bombings in Lahore.
Two suicide bombs killed at least 15 people and wounded another 70. The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility.
FIFA says the kickoff time next Monday, and stadium venue in Manama are not yet decided.
FIFA postponed the second-leg match in the first round of Asian qualifying less than 24 hours before it was due to take place on Tuesday.
Pakistan trail 3-1 from the first leg which was played in Qatar because FIFA also judged Yemen unsafe to host matches.
