May 2 – Manchester United have added a third date in a third country for their United: LIVE travelling roadshow that takes the Man Utd experience to fans outside England with a mix fanzones, live entertainment, appearances by club legends and ending with the screening of a live match from the Premier League.

The latest date announced is for Sunday May 17 in New Delhi, India, and follows on from recent events in Beijing, China, on April 26, and Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 31.

The one-day event is presented by Apollo, Manchester United’s official tyre partner in India, and includes a special screening of The Greatest Story Ever Told – a biopic of the club’s history.

The day will build up to a live screening of Manchester United’s final home game of the season against Arsenal which, a club statement says, gives “supporters the chance to experience the exciting atmosphere of Old Trafford by cheering on United alongside thousands of other fans.”

Mikael Silvestre and a yet to be announced second guest, will be on hand to share some stories of their time with the club, as well as their pre and post-match analysis.

Tickets to the New Delhi event are free, but are allocated via ballot which opens May 10 with the successful applicants being notified by email.

Manchester United Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold said: “India is a nation of sports fanatics and we know that football is ever increasing in popularity in the country. Manchester United has a history of capturing the imagination of our 35 million followers in India, with thousands of fans gathering to see a glimpse of the Premier League trophy when we brought it to Mumbai in 2012.

“United: LIVE Delhi is designed to entertain and engage with our fans, as well as inspire and educate a new generation of supporters on the history of Manchester United.”
