August 14 – English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have sharpened up for the new season with a new look and three-year partnership with English tailors Aquascutum, who will become the club’s new Official Formal Wear Partner.

Aquascutum will dress the club from players and staff all the way up to management and board members of the club in made-to-measure suits.

The luxury fashion brand has more than 300 stores worldwide with a significant presence in Asia where Spurs says it has more than 170 million followers. The partnership is aiming at tapping into that market via the club’s communications channels and showcasing Aquascutum menswear ranges to the global fanbase.

This is the first time Aquascutum has turned to football to promote itself. Mark Taylor, Chief Operating Officer for Aquascutum, said: “We are delighted to be entering into this exciting new relationship with Tottenham Hotspur, which will provide us with a global platform to further showcase our brand and iconic designs. Like Aquascutum, Tottenham Hotspur has a rich history and is synonymous with style and flair, making them the perfect choice of partner for us.”

Fran Jones, Head of Partnerships at Tottenham Hotspur, added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Aquascutum for the next three years. Tottenham Hotspur and Aquascutum both have their roots in London and are ambitious, global brands. We look forward to working with Aquascutum to support our mutual objectives both at home and in key markets internationally.”
