October 2 – In what is believed be football’s first social media sacking of a top division manager, Bosnian side Drina Zvornik have fired their manager Vladica Petrovic over Facebook. If that wasn’t bizarre enough, Petrovic was apparently among the first to ‘like’ the post.

Drina Zvornik are currently cemented to the bottom of Bosnia’s top-flight, having taken just six points from their opening ten games.

This comes on the same day that Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola made his Twitter bow.

The Barcelona legend joins the likes of Ronald Koeman and Carlo Ancelotti as managers that use the social media site.

At the time of writing, Guardiola’s account (@Pep_Team) had amassed over 100,000 followers since his first tweet on Thursday morning.
