November 5 – French-based telecoms company Orange has renewed its partnership with Paris Saint-Germain for another three years.
Orange has partnered with Paris Saint-Germain since 1999 as part of its football-based marketing which also encompasses social media, the 12th Man web site and a Ligue 1 app.
Fabienne Dulac, Executive Director of Orange France, commented on the new deal saying: “Football is one of the main axes of Orange’s sponsorship initiatives. It’s a popular sport that brings people together: team spirit, sharing, personal achievement and solidarity are values that Orange hold very dear. Paris Saint-Germain thrill thousands of fans every time they play.
It’s perfectly natural that Orange wanted to pursue its partnership in this adventure with Paris Saint-Germain by signing on for the long haul. Thus, we will accompany each other for another three years as the club reaps the rewards of its ambitious sporting project. I send out all my encouragement to the Paris Saint-Germain players for this new season, which looks like it will be very exciting and full of emotion.”
Jean-Claude Blanc, Paris Saint-Germain’s General Manager and marketing executive, added, “Orange and Paris Saint-Germain share a passion for football. The trusting relationship that we have constructed together over the last three years is essential if we are to reach our objectives.
We’re thrilled to be able to count on the support of the Orange group and to be able to pursue our partnership for another three years. Orange helps us to dream bigger and is a big part of our ambitious project.”
In their announcement Orange emphasise their Ligue 1 app which allows fans to watch 100% of Ligue 1 matches live on their smartphone or tablet, Apple or Android.
Orange recently announced that it will sponsor the Euro 2016 football tournament in France.
