December 4 – Liverpool under new German manager Jurgen Klopp are starting to look sharp. Wednesday night they slammed six goals past Southampton to book a place in the League Cup semi-final against Stoke.
On Thursday they looked even sharper as they unveiled a new partnership with Hugo Boss who become the official Formalwear Supplier of the club’s first team.
Both days striker Daniel Sturridge was to the fore, scoring twice against Saints in his comeback after injury, and leading the line in the photo shoot (pictured) with team mates Divock Origi (left) and Emre Can (right).
The fashion brand has two stores in Liverpool. And for the fashionistas: “The tailored BOSS suits have been created in dark grey new-wool blend and features the ‘Hayes’ 2-button jacket with notch lapels and slim-fit ‘Gibson’ trousers, teamed with the elegant ‘Wilson’ waistcoat. The timeless 3-piece suits worn by the First Team are also styled with slim fit cotton ‘Philip’ shirts and crisp white pocket squares, all by BOSS.”
Liverpool will get to wear their new suits at Wembley if they get past Stoke in the two-leg semi-final in the New Year. If they do they will either face less fashionable city rivals Everton or increasingly globally fashionable Manchester City in the final.
