Dentsu’s Team Twelve wins China League One data contract

China League

December 16 – The Chinese Football Association (CFA) has announced that China League One, the second tier professional soccer league in China, has agreed a partnership deal with South Korean based Team Twelve Inc, a part of the Dentsu Sports Network.

Team Twelve beat several domestic bidders to become the data provider of China League One. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but the length of the partnership is believed to 3-5 years based on the bidding documents released by the CFA.

Under the terms of the deal, Team Twelve will analyse live matches and videos of China League One, and the company will benefit from the commercial rights to their analytic reports and receive a one-page advertisement on all match programmes for China League One.

Local media suggest the choice of Team Twelve is somewhat of a surprise – with China-based Amisco, SodaSoccer, Leida and Champdas having lost out.

Dentsu Sports, of course, remains a very significant force in the Asian sports market whilst continuing to extend its influence globally.
