February 16 – Owners and chairman are notoriously impatient with coaches when things go wrong. But Palermo surely take the biscuit having made no fewer than seven managerial changes this season.
Beppe Lachini has just been reinstated by club president Maurizio Zamparini (pictured), replacing Giovanni Bosi three months after himself being sacked.
Palermo have failed to win any of their last four league matches and are 15th in Serie A. Four of the managerial changes were made between 10 November and 15 February.
“I would like to ask (the fans) to pardon me for the chaos of these months,” Lachini said in a statement on the Palermo website.
“I hope that not all of these bad things are destined to harm us because the chaos, also caused by my own errors of evaluation and misunderstandings.”
