July 8 – Former Middlesbrough chief executive Keith Lamb has been appointed to the Football Association’s Board of Directors.
Lamb replaces the departed David Sheepshanks as one of the two representatives on the board from the Football League.
FA chairman David Bernstein said: “I am naturally very pleased that someone of the calibre and experience of Keith has been appointed to The FA Board.
“Keith has been a passionate and tireless member of our Council and International Committee and he will inspire confidence in his colleagues that he has the very best interests of our national game at heart.”
Lamb was delighted to take up the post and said: “I hope that I can help further the development of the game in England.
“I am very much an Englishman who is desperate to see all representative England teams do well on the international stage, building all the way from the important grassroots to the development of the game through a strong league pyramid.
“The FA is a fantastic organisation with great people and energy and I will be proud to serve on its Board.”
