November 9 – Manchester City has added financial trading platform iTrader.com as a sponsor partner for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in what the club is calling a multi-year deal.
iTrader operates as an online trading broker on web and mobile platforms offering the option to trade in currencies, CFDs (derivatives products that allow you to trade on live market price movements without actually owning the underlying asset), commodities and indices. It is regulated in the EU.
The deal with Man City is based on exposure across the club’s social media platforms, a permanent website present and a co-branded microsite allowing iTrader to create an integrated multi-national campaign.
iTrader will also have the right to use the club crest as well as having access to Man City’s first team players for marketing promotions. Also included is a match day hosting package at the Etihad Stadium allowing iTrader to entertain clients at Man City.
Yoav Shalmor, Sponsorship consultant for iTrader.com said: “City are a globally recognised Club who compete at the highest level with integrity and style. iTrader.com mirrors Man City’s values in how they operate and joining forces with them allows iTrader.com to grow the company’s awareness and presence in multiple markets around the world.”
No figure was announced for the sponsorship nor was the length of the deal apart from its description as multi-year. Sponsorship deals are generally three years in length.
